Services For Children

It is a struggle to always understand our children and their perspective on things. Their thoughts, ideas, and feelings might be difficult to recognize. Here at House of New Hope we have trained professionals who are passionate about helping children as young as 3 years old and we will make sure that the child you care for gets the most appropriate therapist based on the difficulties they are facing and our therapist’s specialties.

At House of New Hope we specialize in a wide range of issues including:
~ Trauma ~ Social Skills ~ Self-Esteem ~ Anxiety ~ Depression ~ Grief and Loss ~Divorce ~ Peer Pressure ~ Academic Achievement ~ ADHD ~ Family Conflict ~ Developmental Disabilities ~ Physical/Emotional/Sexual Abuse ~ Anger/Defiance ~ Self-Injury.

Services for Developmentally Disabled

Many professionals have adopted the estimate that 30-35% of all persons with developmental disabilities have a psychiatric disorder. The full range of mental disturbances that exists in the general population also can co-exist in persons who have developmental disabilities. Depending upon the severity of the mental disturbance, persons with developmental disabilities respond very positively to a wide range of treatments on a continuum from out-patient and community-based services to in-patient psychiatric care. House of New Hope specializes in providing out-patient mental health services to persons with a developmental disability and a co-existing mental health concern.

In partnership with County Developmental Disability Boards throughout Ohio, House of New Hope has been providing community-based mental health services to children and adults with developmental disabilities for many years and at no cost to the Developmental Disability Board.  No waiting lists.n  Licensed mental health professionals with a heart for serving persons with developmental disabilities.

Life’s events can be quite unpredictable. In a very short period of time we can move from smooth sailing to complete turmoil. For some, coping with the stressors of everyday life can be overwhelming. None of us are immune from experiencing crisis or trauma in our lives.

Furthermore, sometimes seemingly insignificant events can build up to the point of feeling unmanageable.

Most of us are not trained nor prepared to tackle the difficulties of life such as death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, rejection or family problems.
