In 2000, a young woman with the biggest of smiles convinced us that she could design and run an adoptions program for House of New Hope that would touch more lives than we could ever imagine. So began what would become a highly respected statewide adoption program. In the fourteen years that Danni Hedrick was director of our adoptions program, she "gave birth" to well over four hundred families; blessing newborns or older children with loving homes and new beginnings.
Jesus said, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18). His promise was Danni’s mission as she did God’s work by uniting so many children with waiting families. In 2014, Danni died following a courageous multi-year battle against pancreatic cancer. It is our pledge that Danni's legacy will live on through the continued good works of "The Danni Hedrick Adoption Services Program of House of New Hope." |
House of New Hope's Pre-Arranged Adoption Services exist to assist adoptive families and pregnant women who have been matched by an out-of-state agency when the birth parent(s) live in Ohio. House of New Hope will provide counseling, advice and emotional/educational support to both prospective adoptive families and women and men faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Home studies will be completed as this is a requirement for Courts and our agency can facilitate an expedited 72-hour surrender of parental rights without the need of an outside attorney.
As House of New Hope is expert in working with the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) system, we will facilitate the completion of all pre-placement and placement activities in compliance with Ohio law. |
